My guardian Angel.
An angel watches over me, I see her every night,
She's standing there beside my bed, when I turn off the light.
I can't imagine who she is, or why she visits me,
She stands within a shining light, that only I can see.
It's glow is warm and soothing, it sends me fast asleep,
I know she's there, I know I'm safe, her vigil she will keep.
And when I awake in the mornings light, she gone to whence she came,
But I know tonight that she'll be there, it ever is the same.
Each night she's there, she never speaks, she only ever smiles,
And her smile is oh so welcoming, after all these weary miles.
So I sleep once more, safe in the embrace,
Of this angelic girl with the angels face.
