Not incorrect, but the meaning seems a little odd. How do you determine the boundary of the city centre, so that you can say you are 'by' it and not 'in' it? _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

hi Torsten, Alan,Mister Micawber and everyone, Please tell me are the bellow sentences correct:? 1. My house is next to the Jain temple. (Means immediate next) 2. My school is near the Jawaharlal playground (means at a walking distance from the playground or the playground and the school are in the same locality.) 3. Jury's house is by my or mine house (her house is visible from my house's gallery) 4. I am going to the nearby shopping mall.(shopping mall which is nearest.)
