Some people believe that a college or university education should be available to all students. Others believe that higher education should be available to only good students. Discuss these views. Which view do you agree with? Explain why.

Some people believe that only the best students should go to a college or university, But I don't. Academics are not the only purpose of a university education. Another important goal is to learn to take care of yourself. When you are separated from your parents, you have to learn to be independent and make decisions about your future.Also colleges are the best place to meet a lot of new friends. I believe every student should have the opportunity to have this kind of experience.

When a young man leaves home for the first time for a long period of time , he has to learn , how to make decisions for himself. If he wants to have good marks and stay at the university then he has to find the line between studying and having fun. He must put some goals in front of himself and aim for them , this way he would know how much work has to be done in order to succeed. The student will develop a decision making habit that will help him in the future. He will become more confident person overall.

Leaving your home and starting a new life away from home , makes you meeting new people , and of course to make new friends. You will certainly encounter lots of people in your first day there. For instance , your roommate will probably become one of your best friends during the semester. Your classmates will be your other option to choose from. There are also the teachers and I don’t see why one can’t become close even with them. This helps the students to socialize and prepare for their adult lives.

In home , young people may haven’t had enough responsibility , but once they go to college they must learn how to cook , wash , wash up , and others useful skills. If they don’t they risk eating only canned food and living in a mess. So , I advise everybody to learn at least how to cook the basics like , frying a potato , making an omelet , preparing pasta , you can even invite some female friends of yours to show them how it is done , and I am sure they will be amazed.

I think all people should be able to go to college or university , there is a lot to be learned there and I don’t mean only from the books , but also from the world around them. Students become more independent , more responsive and make a lot of friends there. Studying can be a fun experience , too.
