TOPIC:Movies and televisions should always show audience good people are being regarded and bad people are being punished.
ESSAY:
Nowadays, people spend a lot of spare time in watching movies and TV. It is indeed a good way to kill time and release stress, since it is convenient and will not consume AS much money as traveling and shopping do. It has almost become a part of our life so that the quality of the making of movies and televisions receives tremendous attention from the public, as well as the related censorship department. GRANTED, good people should be regarded and bad people should be punished meet the moral principles that are accepted by most people, I believe it is not always suited as a rule of making movies and TV programs.
To start with, we cannot deny that in some occasions it is necessary to reveal such moral principleS in movies and televisions. For example, movies and TV shows especially for children. Children ARE a special group that need considerable extra care for their growth. In other words, children are basically vulnerable to the adults’ world because they are so weak in both physiology and psychology. If they are exposed to information that conveys a negative value towards life, they are very likely to accept it as the rule of their behaviors, because they are not able to tell good from bad themselves. Thus, movies and television should mostly show the main-stream value to children.
On the other hand, the criteria of the movies and televisions for adults should not be the same as that for the children. For one thing, most adults are relatively mature and have the ability to tell right from wrong. They have formed certain valueS and perceptionS of the world, so it will not be easy to falter a firm belief. For another, that good people are always regarded and bad people never escape from punishment is a little far from the reality, which will not draw continuous interest from the public. Besides, as children grow up gradually, it is necessary for parents to tell them something about the real society, which is not that ideal but is practical. In this case, movies and televisions that contain some information about the dark side of the world, like bad people win while the good suffer, are acceptable, and to some extent helpful to parents. In addition, people watch movies and televisions for recreational reason rather than educational reasons. They want to be excited by different and surprising endingS.
To sum up, due to what has been mentioned above, we can safely reach the conclusion that it is not recommended that movies and televisions should always show the audience that good people are being regarded and bad people are being punished. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Nice work Lunzhang.
