Teacher should be paid according to how well their students perform. Agree or disagree?
How much money should the school pay to its teachers? How can the school determine them? Some people believe that teacherS' should be paid according to how well their students perform. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with this statement, because that method is unfair AND can lead to school’s immoral implementations and MAY LEAD TO MANY TEACHERS QUITTING THEIR JOBS.
First and foremost, using how well the students perform to estimate the teaching ability is absolutely not fair. In the class, the students’ ability to understand successful lectures depends on many factors like the intelligence and concentration of students, teaching methods, etc. Students can’t get the high scores if they don’t study hard. If the teaching method of a teacher is good but some students ARE usually absent, those students will not able to understand the lectures.
Second, implementing the method OF testing students to determine how much salary the school should pay to teachers can lead to some unethical activities. If the school increases the difficulty of exams, the estimation of students’ qualities will become lower. This is a trick to save the school money. If the school bases on that level to determine how much money to pay to its teachers, teachers’ salary will be lessened because of that.
Finally, I think using THE knowledge of students to estimate how much salary the school should pay to the teachers will RESULT IN TEACHERS LEAVING. When some teachers get the lower salary than their peers because of their students’ performance, although they do the job as GOOD AS them, they will be unhappy. If that situation IS ALLOWED TO last, the teachers will quit their jobS at that school to find A POSITION at another school estimating their abilities more properly.
In summary, there is no doubt that the school should not pay to its teachers based on how well their students perform. That estimation method can badly AFFECT both teachers and the school. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Good work Widapol. You continue to improve.
