Good morning, Kitos. Thanks so much for revising my essay! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Today, there are so many sources of news and information that it is difficult to know whom to believe or who is telling the truth.
With the advance of technology, news and information keeps surging up. Meanwhile, people can access various news and information through multiple means. NewspaperS, radio, TV, and THE Internet have become the common sources for news, and people can even learn the latest news any-time, anywhere, with the cell phone. Does tons of information confuse people? From my standpoint, I am totally opposed to the opinion that the huge volume of information LEADS TO people losING their capabilitIES OR judgEment.
First of all, normally people are accustomed to a couple of sources as their primary method OF gainING information. There is tons of news and information popping out every minute. People cannot check all of them one by one due to their limited time and energy. For example, lots of people like to learn the news by reading THE same newspaper with their breakfast in the morning, listening TO A radio ON the same frequency when cooking, watching THE same news program on TV after dinner. Take myself as an example. The frequency of the radio in my home IS always 680 AM for the program-680News. When I fold the laundry or do the house cleaning, I often turn the radio on to listen to the latest news. I seldom listen to the news ON other frequencIES. In the morning, I would like to check the weather on the website, "The weathernetwork.com" before MY breakfast in the morning. After dinner, I often watch THE TV programME," CTV" for news. Those are some of the sources utilized frequently to get myself updated.
In addition, revealing the truth is one of the features of news. Without this characteristic, it’s not news but falsehood. Disclosing the truth is put on the top of the list by the majority of news, although there are some media trying to use false news TO attract people’s attention. Therefore, THE larger the volume of information, THE easier people are able to determine the truth. For example, once a while, the news of some celebrities’ death WILL pop-up IN some newspaper in order to catch people’s eyes. SoonER OR later, people will find out the truth, because the news and photos about that person keep showing up from other kinds of sources. Hence, people will hardly trust those newspaperS replete with falsehoodS again, not to mention buy them.
In conclusion, the GREATER THE AMOUNT of news and information is, THE wider people’s horizonS will be. FalsehoodS can in no way be turned into truth by repetition. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Not to bad Channelee. Pay more attention to your reading.
