Which one is correct? #1 (permalink) Sun Jan 02, 2011 5:09 am   Which one is correct?

Let's consider a word that has two meanings.

For example: mock------1)treat someone with scorn
2) practice

Then which of these sentences is correct?

The word "mock" has also a meaning "practice".

or

The word "mock" also has a meaning "practice".

If the second one is correct then how do say if two words have the same meaning.
I mean that would also take the same sentence.

Thanks in advance.

The second sentence has better grammar, but I don't think "mock" can mean "practice". So the grammar of the sentence is right, but the information is wrong.

Actually, "mock" doesn't really mean to treat someone with scorn as much as it means to humiliate someone by imitating him.
