Topic: Some people prefer to work for a large company. Others prefer to work for a small company. Which do you prefer?

Some people pay much attention to working for a large company, while others show special interest in working for a small one. Everyone have their own opinion on the advantages and disadvantages of this issue. For me, I prefer to work for a big one.

The first reason is that my job would be guaranteed in large companies which appear quite stable and possible to avoid market fluctuations. Almost big firms become strong as a result of co-operate with quite a few others, especially professional organizations. Conspicuously, their decisions are supported a lot in order to foresee the risks and plan to deal with. Therefore, a large company can assure my position for a long time.

Second, working for a large company means working with many experts, professors in auspicious working conditions. Certainly, I will have some excellent counterparts and world-class supervisors. This means my ideas not only would be developed with the backing of skillful and experienced persons but also can be applied in favorable conditions. Consequently, my knowledge and skills will be improved remarkably, particularly in my field. Moreover, I have more chance to build some relationships with famous persons that’s very useful to pave the way for success.

Third, with a huge amount of competent staffs and strong competitive conditions, large company is a good place to challenge myself. Working with those people requires you to renew continuously, with a view to create new idea and finish the assigned work in the best way. This make me interested in because I’d like to compete with who is better than me fairly for higher position.

The fourth and last reason is that working for a small company has a little chance to succeed. In the world, there are a numerous companies which are regarded as “small”. So they have to compete with each other to grow up. Besides, the fact that big fish eat small fish make the opportunity to succeed become harder than ever. As a consequence, only persons who have special ideas, a perfect occasion to apply it and lots of luck can make their company become a big one. And I don’t think I am desperate enough.

For all above-mentioned reasons, I really want to work for a large company. All of benefits it brings about, salary and prestige, an environment promoting co-operation and competition, make that choice reasonable, reliable and pleasant.
