I agree that young adults should try a variety of jobs before they start their careers in the future.
To begin with, working experiences help young people gain various essential skills, for example, communication skills. When I did my first job, I was asked to pitch a list of media to attend the company's Shanghai EXPO VIP tour. Since the tour was on A weekend, I used the VIP tour as a selling point to persuade them to spare part of their private time to join our activities. However, when being asked which pavilions the tour would cover, I responded by asking which one they would like to visit rather than saying I didn't know. As time went by, my communication skills really UNDERWENT a remarkable enhancement.
Second, trying to work in different fields helps young adults develop a WIDE circle of social network. Thanks to my previous work experience, I got to know senior managers from Morgan Stanley, Boston Consulting Group, P&G and so on. Since I haven't YET decided which area I would choose as my career, I can broaden my social network as much as possible and keep in touch with people in related areas. By doing so, when I have a clear picture of my future path, I can easily begin my work because of the firm relationship with people in A certain industry. The extensive social network will also facilitate my career in the long run.
Thirdly, the experience of taking different jobs helpS young people better understand what they are suitable to do in their careers. I always thought to work in some famous Internet corporations, for instance, Google, would be an ideal career choice for me, even if I could only be accepted in supporting functions, such as Communications Department, but not until I worked in a similar but smaller one did I realized that the main business lines that I supported should be attractive to me. Honestly speaking, I'm not quite interested in the Internet, being stuffed with such kindS of information every day would be a chronic killer to me, even if I worked in the world's most renowned company.
To sum up, I strongly believe that young people should take several different kinds of jobS before they take a career FOR THE longER term. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Although it has a couple of errors this is exactly the kind of essay I enjoy reading, showing your intentions and goals. It makes for very interesting reading, and I hope others will take note of my comments. This is the epitome of simple, yet interesting text. Well done Saibobo.
