Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible. #1 (permalink) Mon Jan 03, 2011 16:18 pm   Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible.

Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible. Other young adults prefer to live with their families for a longer time. Which of these situations do you think is better? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

The issue at hand is to consider which situation is better, living independently or living with families for a longer time. This issue is important to so many people. In my opinion, I believe that to have independence from parents as soon as possible is better by the following reasons.

Living independently is preferable because it will help us to be more mature, more responsible in life. People always have their own problems like having stress by work, getting divorced, etc. If they are learnt how to face it since they were young, things will be easy to go. For instance, one was taught to take care everything by himself since he was young, later on, when he goes to college, he can handle things without any help like washing clothes, cooking his meals. That helps to express himself to other students.

Additionally, it is an excellent idea when someone does not want to live with their families when they are adults. They will soon get a stand in the society and repetitions from other people. They will learn how to make money, pay their own bills and so many things. When life is hard, they always find their ways to solve their problems. They are strong and liberal.

Finally, when those young adults want to be independent from their families, they do want to do their own things without being controlled. Technically, they can do so, for example, getting drunk, having sexual relationships, etc. People consider it as freedom, which they have rights to do. As far as I have known, we can do something like going wherever we want without curfew. And it is a good side of being independent. However, things we do should not be out of rules.

Ultimately, I think living independently is the better situation. I believe so because it helps young adult have their own rights, live responsibly and get respected from others.

Not so easy is it Jane? Not a bad try though. Please review your errors.
