I am really hoping to see an improvement in the work of you all this New Year. You still have a limit of two essays a day, but if you feel you need to write only one per day to show an improvement, so much the better. The vast majority have it within them to write really good essays about their topics. Take your time. Think what you want to say. Think about how you intend to say it, then review it in your mind once more before beginning to write. Scores will be more stringently applied this year. Poor work will be scored as low as six. If you get nine, which is going to be really difficult, make sure you write even better in your next essay. Your goal is TEN, always strive for it. It is achievable, and all of you have the ability to achieve it. Remember what I have said repeatedly ... reading is your way forward.
If anyone submits a second essay without awaiting the edit of the first, then both essays will be ignored. All corrections will be done so that you can easily find them by reviewing the edit. You don't have to rewrite your work, just make sure that you don't repeat the same mistake again. If you still have not mastered punctuation, then spend an hour or so in doing so. It isn't brain surgery ... just do it! Topic titles should be checked for correctness. Posts without topic titles will also be ignored.
OK, let's look forward to a really successful New Year, with lots of brilliant essays being turned in. _________________ Keep it simple ... Keep it interesting. |

People attend school for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, and increase knowledge). Why do you think people decide to go to school? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Topic: Nowadays, all over the world a lot of people are trying their best to study. Most of us know that knowledge is power, and for those who attend the schools, chances to find a better job are higher, and people are predisposed to become successful in life. I think people attend the schools because they start having a career preparation; want to GAIN knowledge and become successful in their LIVES and TO learn knew experiences.
To begin with, attending a college or university helpS a student to prepare for his profession and of course his future career. For example in the United States are most of the best schools in the world, which provide a better education and prepare the student with excellent skills. I came TO the US to study and become a better professional dentist. I worked hard in Albania, and I become a very good student there. After 5 years work as A dentist I wanted to self-improve my knowledge and become a better professional. That time the international dental studies accepted me to apply to a university in California and AN OPPORTUNITY TO study to get accepted in the program. I’m still studying to pass the exams and I would love to get into program in 2011. Moreover, the universities and colleges teach and prepare the students to become better professionalS. Through practical seminars, they help the students to practice and learn their profession, and when they will finish the school they are able to work correctly. For example a dentist learns from schools how to give an infiltrative anesthesia, or to feel a tooth, build a feeling, taking an impression etc. In addition, when someone applies for a job position, most of them who have a degree will have a better chance to win their job interview, because the employER assumeS that they know how to work, and schools HAVE taught them all the processes.
Another reason why people attend the college and universities is because they want to SEEK knowledge. Many students after they finish their universities want to continue their studies to get a master degree or get specialized. For example, after a student finisheS general dentistry, they work and study hard to get into A program to get specialized, for instance as an orthodontist, endodontic, or maxillofacial surgery. With this qualification, they have a better chance to become very successful in their lives.
Third, the educational establishments prepare people to be ready for the working atmosphere. At universities the studentS do not learn only how to have a profession or get a better knowledge , but also discipline and the etiquette, such as being on time, being responsible to finish your task, respect for professors and other students in class etc. This will prepare them how to communicate and will help them to be PROFESSIONAL in their work.
To sum up, people attend schools because they learn a profession, become better professionalS, and learn how to deal with people in their work and life. All it takes is hard work and everyone’s dream can come true. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Vilma, your writing is fine. If you are competent in the other three segments then I would suggest that you take it easy and spend all of your free time reading. There aremany interesting articles written here on our Forum. Just relax and read.
