It's a common sense that both money and leisure time are considered of great importance in people's lives. However, they have conflicting opinions about whether a job with more vacation time but a lower salary is preferred than that with a higher salary but less free time. In my point of view, I believe a low paying job with more personal time is a wiser choice.

To begin with, given more vacation time, people can spend quality life with their families and friends. Being involved in a society, communications plays an essential role for my development. By having conversations with people who cared about me, I can share my emotions and difficulties from work. An increasing number of people, under so much pressure at work, have been deeply depressed in recent years. The supports and suggestions from relatives and friends help me better release the burden of work so that I can keep a positive and active spirit.

Furthermore, during vacations, I can travel to a variety of places and countries that I have never been to, which will provide me with an exciting and great experience. I clearly remember what big changes the three-month break from work have brought to me. I went to Inner Mongolia, a autonomous province located in north of China. I have never seen a place with such a blue sky and a grassy prairie. It allowed me to immerse myself in the world of nature and offered me a temporary escape from the outside world to make me relax, think freely and live comfortably. After the long holiday, I was eager to go back to work with a fresher outlook and a clearer mind. I felt like I had more incentives to accomplish challenging tasks and more energy to face difficulties. As a result, the long vacation time can have people produce a greater efficiency at work.

Last but not least, people can learn some useful skills within the vacation time. As we all know, English is considered as necessary requirement to obtain superior jobs. Employees can spend their vacation time to prepare English test such as TOEFL and TOEIC to be fully qualified to apply for jobs with both high salaries and long vacation time.

Admittedly, money does have a big influence on people's abilities to realize their dreams. However, as life is short, experiencing the world in which we are living and seeking happiness is a higher priority for human being. Therefore, a job with more vacation time but a low salary is more appealing.
