Crude vs. rude - (c)rude Sun Mar 12, 2006 23:01 pm  Crude vs. rude - (c)rude

Hi Nicole,

Rude has the idea of being impolite. It's considered rude for a man for example not to stand up if he is introduced to a woman.
Crude has the idea of being tasteless often in humour, of being unrefined in the sense of oil or being primitive in the way of a piece of equipment that has been put together in an amateurish manner.
