Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:
It is not good to move to a new city or a new country because you will lose old friends.

Throughout the history of humanity, people have never ceased to migrating. A seemingly plausible standpoint that relocating to a new city or country will lead to lose old companies – is erroneous. As a matter of fact, moving will lose, if any, few friends, but which will bring about giant rewards.

Contradicting with that viewpoint, relocating to a now area will not lower but amplify your social network. For example, in a new city, probably, you will processes a new job, which means you could meet many new colleagues. And numerous facts have confirmed that some colleagues should be regarded as potential friends. Also, in your leisure time, and in your own community, you can meet someone who have the identical hobby to you, thereby providing a super avenue towards sociality. Moreover, along with the development of modern technology, you can still contact with your old friends by cell phone or the Internet. Thus, relocating to a new city can benefit our circle of friends rather than spoiling it.

Another supporting rationale comes from employment. Due to the stiff competition and the unbalanced development of economy, the increasing number of people have to seek job in other cities. Survey results have consistently shown that during the past decades, more than half of citizens who are less than 30 years old have moved, or would move, to another city to gain a new position, which, generally, gives them a better career prospect. In view of relatively promising development of career, we do not see any excuse to answer why we don't move to a new city.

Besides, a new city or country may provide a more comfortable environment or living conditions. Take me for example, two years ago, I went to a corporation which locates in an offshore city. Now, to release my stress readily, I would like to lie on the beach and enjoy the sunshine on the weekend. Better yet, the clear air and the mild weather render me a good mood which I could not win in the past city. Without doubt, it is reasonable and wise that people move to a new city to seek a better surroundings.

Therefore, the extension of social network, the more promising prospect and the more comfortable living conditions are all compelling justifications to explain why we could, and should, go to a new city without any hesitation.
