Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A person should never make an important decision alone. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. From the moment our eyes open to the moment we close them; decisions have to be made. In our daily lives we make many choices. Some decisions are seemingly insignificant and others are apparently important. When it comes to making important decisions, I believe they should never be made alone.
To begin with, if a person will make an important decision, he/she will be emotionally involved in some way. When an individual is alone in making a crucial choice, this can cause them to feel a lot of pressure; which can lead to anxiety, nervousness and possibly fear. All of these negative emotions will have a significant IMPACT on the person’s decision making process. Having someone to share in the decision making, can help to alleviate the negative emotions and take some of the pressure away. With the responsibility of the decision resting upon more than one person, this will help the group take the correct course of action for that situation.
Secondly, an individual does not have all the answers. We think we might know it all, but in reality we can be easily misinformed. On the other hand, a group will have more information than the individual. So, consulting with a group about important decisions can help to give the individual better ideas regarding the subject. This will help to lead the person towards making the best decision. The chances to make mistakes and take the wrong judgEments can be minimized when more than one person is involved. To sum it up, I firmly believe that important decisions should never be made alone. Making an important decision as a group has more advantages, because the group will help to relieve the pressure and negative emotions MORE EASILY. The team will have more information regarding the subject matter, and all of these combined will help to bring them to the précised A WELL-CONSIDERED decision. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Once again, a well presented and intelligent essay Vilma.
