Do you agree or disagree: Improving schools is the most important factor in THE successful development of ANY country.
When it comes to country development, many people believe that societal resource should BE GIVEN priority to education, which is the most essential ingredient for successful development. However, I (cannot) agree with this statement. It's worthwhile and necessary to develop education, but to say that schools improvement is the most important factor to develop a country is out of ORDER. Education (cannot) guarantee a successful development if other equally important aspects are omitted.
First, a country should not neglect to create enough job opportunities. Basically, if the economy does not generate enough good professional jobs to absorb the influx of highly educated young adults, improving in school seems to be just meaningless to a society. Worse yet, too many jobless graduates may even bring instability to a country. That's because unemployment can elicit their dissatisfactions and disappointments to the authorities and then spur the abuse of their intelligence.
Besides, neglect of THE social system can also threaten the development course regardless of top-level schools. Suppose that when getting a good job is not much connected with capability but social connections, which facilitates the way for the offspring of nouveau riche and the politically connected. THAT MEANS A degree does not mean so much commercially, THEREFORE fresh graduates would be frustrated. This undoubtedly runs contrary to our expectation of improving schools if youngsters lack their confidence in upward mobility which education is supposed to bring them. In addition, many students studying abroad don't come back after graduation for the SIMPLEreason that they can enjoy better social security there.
Admittedly, education plays aN important role in a modern country, and gives the nation a competitive edge in this age of globalization. However, a country which desires a successful development should put THE same focus on not only education, but also other equally fundamental aspects of the society.
In light of these, I would like to say that I personally disagree with the statement that improving schools is the most important factor in successful development of country, and with my example I wanted to illustrate that a successful development depends on many aspects that a nation THAT wants to be more successfully developed should pay close attention to. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: You said a lot, and you said it very well.
