Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support.
There’s no doubt that sports and social activities are essential to students, however, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we can equate them with classes and libraries, in my view, universities and colleges should expend more finance and energy on the latter.
To begin with, we have to reinforce that the main purpose of students in universities, and the ones that they should be focusing their attention are studying knowledge and fulfilling their potential. With abundanT activities, students should be ENCOURAGED to be out of classes. Few would deny that before a dancing party, THEY canNOT concentrate THEY attentions on THE professor’s LESSON. as he/she has had expected the party’s contends; or after a basketball sport, he have identical energy to deal with a final examination. As a consequence, students should make those activities as pastime rather than necessaries.
Further, present activities are adequate to satisfy students’ desires, which give us another compelling reason for SPENDING no more money on them. In this day and age, colleges have AN increasing number of activities, conditions and instruments for students, such as festive parties, sport competitions, concerts, etc. On the contrary, students can participate in diverse activities after classes to enjoy themselves. One example that comes to mind is about me, which is I frequently go out of school to sing songs with my classmates in nearby KTV. where the instrument is convenient and the fee is suitable. Hence, even though universities do not offer those entertainments to the youth, it can merely influence them.
Yet another reason why I reject the opinion, regardless of the practical effect, is that colleges have not abundant funds to afford extra activities. The reason is that following the number of students boosting in recent decadesTHE RECENT INCREASE IN THE NUMBERS OF STUDENTS, the government have had TO invest considerable finance to extend the area of campuses, construct new classrooms and students’ dorms, recruit additional tutors, and so on. The result is that we cannot burden the financial pressure ON universities.
In conclusion, activities’ finance should not be added, I believe in that because the current activity is enough, and there are plenty of aspects requiring funds rather than them. Otherwise, it must influence the qualities of teaching. ............................................................................................................................. You started off well, but lapsed into nonsensical text on a couple of occasions.
