Pets should be treated like family members. Agree or disagree?
We can name so many things in the human world which have had an old relationship with us in a way that sometimes they are interestingly mistaken with a kind of inseparable facet of human life. Pets, for example, as the alive and locomotive creatures have had an undeniable influence in human life. But the thing is that are they the same as our family members? Is it worthy regarding them in the same way as our children or our friends? In my humble opinion, there is no point in considering them in that way.
First of all, undoubtedly the relationship between human beings themselves in comparison with that of a man and a pet, like a dog, cat, or canary, is completely different. The former is based on two-way mutual connection with intelligence and thoughts, but the latTer is just one-way which the pet owners based on their human aspects imagine an affectionaTE feedback from their pets. Is it really a sign a gratefulness when a dog barks or wags its tails after being fed? Personally, I really disagree. They do the same behavior when, for example, an owner-less dog feeds on the garbage. In contrast, when parents embrace their child, for instance, the child kisses his/her parents, too, to show his/her affection toward the sympathetic LOVING parents.
Second, generally, asking questions like this is in disagreement with human dignity. We are human, with our own power to mastermind, to think of a new plan, and to build up so many wonders the world over. How can we compare mankind with a pet which WHOSE actIONS ARE only based on their natural instinct. When I leave MY house early in the morning and work dawn to dusk, my spouse and my child understand and respect my efforts to get MAKE the family be happy, but a pet never understands me.
Third, so many pet keepers consider their pets just as a toy to be happy THEM COMPANY in their solitude. Pets are really kinds of toys. Who on earth would consider their toys as the human beings? Even little kids, I suppose, can understand the difference between their toys and their parents.
On balance, considering the one-way relationship BETWEEN a man and a pet, human dignity, and THE pleasing nature of a pet, I strongly refute the issue of equality treatment of petS as family members. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Quite a well constructed essay Alfonso.
