Please check my essay and give me some advice. Some high schools require all students to wear school uniforms. Other high schools permit to decide what to wear to school. Which of these two school policies do you think is better?
There a variety of policies regarding high schools uniform. Some schools require all students to wear school uniform, while others permit students to decide what to wear to school. To my opinion, it’s better to require students to wear uniform to school.
First, uniform would make students life simpler. They no longer have to choose what to wear every morning. Uniform would not only save time but also eliminate this stressful task.
Next, wearing uniform makes students equal to others. People’s standard of living is different from each other, some come from well-off family while others do not. With uniform, students from rich and poor family dress similarly. This make all students look the same regardless of their financial status. Furthermore, recent research shows that teacher often have higher expectations of more attractive students, who dress nicer. By requiring students to wear uniform, the school helps reduce this unequal treatment.
Last but not least, uniform makes students act more responsibly. School uniforms give the student a message that school is a place for study and not for flaunting wealth and fashion. Uniforms also create great unity among students. For example, when students do something as a group, it helps them feel like a team and enhances the team spirit. Even more important, uniforms have positive effect on violence and truancy. According to a recent survey, violence and truancy was lower at school that required its students to wear uniform.
On the other hand, some people say that students wearing uniform cannot express their individuality. This point has some positive on the surface. However, schools are place for study. And, uniform must be worn only at school. Students can wear whatever they like outside of the classroom.
In conclusion, wearing school uniform brings many benefits. Studies show that students act more responsibly and learn better when they wear uniform. So schools should require students to wear uniform for the benefit of their students.

There a variety of policies regarding high schools uniformS. Some schools require all students to wear school uniformS, while others permit students to decide what to wear to school. IN my opinion, it’s better to require students to wear uniformS to school.
First, uniformS would make students life simpler. They no longer have to choose what to wear every morning. UniformS would not only save time but also eliminate this stressful task.
Next, wearing A uniform makes students FEEL equal to others. People’s standardS of living ARE different from each other. Some come from well-off familIES while others do not. With A uniform, students from rich and poor familIES dress similarly. This makeS all students look the same, regardless of their financial status. Furthermore, recent research shows that teacherS often have higher expectations of more attractive students who dress nicer. By requiring students to wear uniform, the school helps reduce this unequal treatment.
Last but not least, A uniform makes students act more responsibly. School uniforms give the student a message that school is a place for study and not for flaunting wealth and fashion. Even more important, uniforms have positive effectS on violence and truancy. According to a recent survey, violence and truancy was lower at EVERY school that required its students to wear uniformS.
On the other hand, some people say that students wearing A uniform cannot express their individuality. This point has some positive ASPECTS on the surface. Please check my essay and give me some advice. Should high schools require students to wear school uniforms or permit them to decide what to wear to school? While in most current day high schools it is disputable that whether the students should wear uniforms, most elementary school have taken up uniforms policy with wide support.Uniforms serve students profits in several ways;particularly in many primary schools pupils.First and foremost, uniforms could play roles in equalizing society and protecting and preventing colonies of pupils from violence in and outside schools. Some children dressed appealing to others will be confident and others possibly will not, these problems don’t exist in uniforms. And some people like polices easily distinguish uniforms pupils.Second, dressing uniforms will make life simple.Children won’t spend a lot of time in what and how to dress pretty and will vacate this time to concentrate on their studies.Last but not least, put on they uniforms, they will feel as though they are the ones of the groups, which can steel themselves for collective and responsible ones. Minus in high schools, the students are to come of age,and it can marry in this age(16~18 years old in high schools) among some country(USA\Japan\Australia and so on).So they require subjective initiative owing to the phenomenon that as they boost knowledges and information, they should survey object critically and dialectically. Some students dressed suitable and beautiful will be praised, which will benefit to their future, otherwise they will enhance experience and lessons;they will more wise afterward.Furthermore, not only putting on uniforms can students make themselves collective and responsible;but also sports shirt\full dress which can attire ourselves in sameness among the teams\groups\schools can also reach the goal, even exceed it.Why couldn’t we select better attires. At the same time,in summer and winter, united uniforms is not available, shorts and down garment is the best choice;and in some occasions their attending lectures after the PE having been over, clothing themselves in uniforms once more is inconvenient. Overall, high school students are coming to mature;they are the fresh youth, who are of fresh ideologies and fresh spirit and bear the heavy responsibility for the society and country. Some men and women of renown are bored of rules and dogmata;go so far as to be dressed in uniforms. Therefore,as to high schools, uniform policy should be renew thought over, which I think it should be eliminated. |
