I like to watch US TV play, and I often saw the short sentence shown at the lower right corner, for example, all new tues 9/8C, what is it meaning about 9/8C?

It must be about the time zone difference in the US. There are 4 time zones over there: pacific, mountain, central and eastern.

-tues - short for tuesdays
-9/8C - the hour they can watch the show at; C - short for 'central'
