It involves the player wrapping his right (in this case) foot around the left, and taking the shot/cross/pass with the plant foot on the opposite side of the ball.

What does plant foot here?

What is "plant foot" here?
What could be "plant foot" here?

Could be the foot on which the player is standing at the moment.

"to plant" could also mean "to put".
