Sir, please help me refine this essay. Thanks!
Topic: The ability to cooperate with others is more important today than in the past.
Cooperation benefits people with mutual support and exchanging ideas. It may provide solutions in a wider scope. Some people consider the importance of cooperation today is more than that in the past, while others think that is the same between the two ages. I agree with the former thinking because there are more global pressing problems nowadays, although teamwork in the past also achieved many accomplishments.
Teamwork has played an important role since before. Many history events could not exist without teamwork. There would be leaders initiating activities and their followers coordinating with them. For example, Dr. Sun established the first democracy government in China. During numerous battles, his followers made effort to fight for the democracy with him, so that they could succeed eventually.
However, with globalization proceeding, the teamwork between nations becomes significantly important nowadays. First, countries should cooperate with each other to reserve the finite natural resources. With the worldwide population increasing, human exploit those resources too much. An environmental damage in one place may affect another place in the earth. Therefore, an organization including international cooperation, such as UN, may provide regulation for the advantage of humankind.
Secondly, worldwide governments should discuss the solution for epidemics together. With international connection increase, the diseases spread from one country to another in a more readily way. The officials in different countries should collaborate with each other to fight against the disease disperse and try to find its remedy. The independent effort in one country may do in vain due to uncontrollably infectious matters migrating from foreign countries.
In sum, though teamwork was also viewed significant in the past, there are more problems today requiring nations' collaboration to solve. The increasing international connection brings about needs for solutions, such as epidemics and reservation, in a global scope. For the survival of species in the Earth, the ability for cooperation is more significant today than that in the past.
