Hi,

Could you please recommend me a textbook about the culture of Britain? It probably covers every facet of British culture such as nation, beliefs, government, education, families, entertainment,etc.....This book can be used for ESL/EFL students.Thank you

Best wishes,

Hi Mai
Well I am not sure there is a definitive book of any kind but i would guess you could best research the subject matter online.
You could do a lot worse than starting here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain and research as you see fit via Google - It will give you plenty of subjects to research.... take notes and try to keep track of what you are doing trying not to get bogged down..
Britain doesn't have a formal "Constituition" (like America used to have :-))
But I guess you could go back to the a famous book from the 13th Century the "Magna Carta" http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/museum/item.asp?item_id=3
it was claimed to have set Britain apart regarding human rights
(in theory anyway) you can reference things from this to give a better grounding as to its history and then expand your search till the present day.

good luck
