People would be happier if they had fewer possessions #1 (permalink) Sat Jan 15, 2011 16:25 pm   People would be happier if they had fewer possessions

I really want to say, this topic is little confuse to me and after seeing few samples, I feel no direction, so please help me correct and offer some advices! Thanks!

Nowadays, people might think that if they had fewer properties, they would be more happier, it probably right in such a material, greed and complex world. However, Personally speaking, I do not agree with the over-statement, there are several necessary things we can not lose, which including the relationship with family and friends, our life companion as well as money, we can not feel happy if these matters get fewer. I will concrete my view as following.

The first plain truth is that the relationship with family members and friends is necessary for each of us. The most valueble emotion we have since borned is the love in family, they always suportive and giving without asking pay back, their careness anytime and anywhere. Our best friends, those who would share joy and sorrow with us, encouraging us when we fall. Their exsistence give us the biggest happiness in the world, I can not say what I can be with fewer relation with them. For instance, during the time Spring Festival, our family would reunion and having meal togerther, the happy atmosphere would make us excited, we are all appreciate the time being together.

Another evidence I would explain is the one who company us for life, we can not happy if we lost him or her. He or she is the most close person besides our family, no matter what misery happens, our lovers is always keep stiking with us together. There is a couple of youngs, Lee and Caro, they came from different countries, but they love each other. One day, the unfortunate accident happened on Caro, she disabled since then, and life difficult and pain fill with her life. However, Lee is there, fully taking care of Caro since the accident, although Lee has to earn for live and caring of Caro, he is still happy with doing so. In this inspire case, I can not say what Caro would be if she without Lee.

Moreover, money is still important to everyone of us. Under such a sociaty polarized towards gaining money, we can not do anything without or having little money, which reminds me during my childhood, I can spent only 0.05$ for an ice cream, but it costs 0.5$ today, almost 10 times more than before! The speedy increase on general price force us to make more money to pay for living, education, and rent of house. Thus, money is the fundamantal need.

In conclusion, the statement of people would happier if they had fewer possession is obviously wrong. I still need relationship with family and friends, the companion in our life, and certainly amount of money, only we possess these things, can we enjoy our life and get more happier.
