In twenty years, there will be fewer cars in use than there are today.

Some people think that automobiles will still keep its stable increase in the next twenty years since people now become much more dependent on advantages that cars afford them. Other people support the claim that number of cars will see a sharp reduction in the near future. This issue is a controversial one but closer examination reveals that people are attending to wean themselves from dependence on cars.

One reason is that huge growth of population in recent decades poses great pressure on the infrastructure of countries. Despite considerable effort of government all over the world, the population are still untamed and it is likely to surge in the near future while construction is far less developed to deal with such pressure. As a result, by no means do people want to utilize their car because of overloaded road system which often cause serious traffic jam. Eventually, people recognize that automobiles is not appropriate type of transportation that they can rely on in the near future.

Another reason is that emission from cars has been heavily exhausting environment. According to recent researches, cars emission are one of the main factors that bring contamination to the atmosphere. Consequently, people now are facing with many problems associated to respiratory issues or heart attack. The burden that has been brought about by cars are now considered carefully by both government and producers. They are attempting to substitute cars with more eco-friendly and economic facility like hybrid train which generate less severe problems to the environment and carry a large amount of people at the same time.

Last but not least, cars deplete sources of energy, urging authority to encourage production of less fuel-consuming means of transportation in the near future. Everyday, people spend a considerable amount of gasoline when they drive cars while the gasoline and natural gas become exhausted and more complicate to explore. Recently, Much greater efforts than ever are made by the joint of several countries to search for new sources but the project is still embryonic. Therefore, people may soon start an innovation of more economic design which pronounce an end to automobiles.

In summary, there are arguments to be made on the both sides of the issue, there are greater advantages for the trend to replace car with more eco-friendly and economical facility which best satisfy the situation of the infrastructure system. And people will have opportunities to observe such move within 20 years or so.
