Hi, Torsten! Well for me, I improve my English through reading newspapers and books. If there are words that i do not know the meaning, I will check it on my dictionary. Besides, I also watch English movies and listen to English songs. Another way for me is of course by joining this english-test.net. :D

Dear Torsten!
You know, my favourite film is "House.MD." From the first I`ve watched the film in Russian version and now I watch the film in original version again and again. It is useful and interestingly for me at the same time.

I can tell you also my way to improve my english- after listening the audio exsercices with Sue Darville, I make a dictation of it. It helps me to learn the words and to write them corectly. As You can see, I'm in the begining;)

Hello. What to do to learn English faster? I don't know. I can't say anything new. I think everything is already known. Learn every day. Improve your vocabulary, read English texts, write and speak in English more. And it'll be better to be among people who don't speak your native language and you have to speak only English.

Hello dear Torsten,
Thank you for your time and your kind. I've started to learn English several years ago and planned to improve my different skills as soon as possible. But I wonder why I couldn't achieve to my goals. My speaking is awful, my writing as well, my listening isn't very good and at the end my reading, of course, is not too bad. I've tried different way to develope my English language such as taking English classes, watching movies, reading books, reading text books related to my major, voic chatting online, text chatting online, listening to news which is broadcasted by famous and papular TV channel such as BBC and Euronews and whatever I've find by which I can expose myself to English enviroment. Despite of attampting a lot but my english isn't very good and I can't trust on myself. what would you recommend me as a mileston in my learning language. Maybe your recommendation change my english language learning fate.
Best regards and wishes

Dear Torsten,

Thee thing which attrack me is the quiz questions, and vocbulary learing through uses in sentence is more and lasting for uses of words rather it memorising individual words.

Hi Torsten

Totally I agree your method of studying and everyone one has their own way of learning, but if I add my opinion as you said read a Newspapers, novels and listen radio four, etc that will be good advice. However my problem is I don’t read Avery day but I do listen most of my time, even though reading will be good beneficial. According what the people are said ‘the more you read are the more you write’. From now I will promise myself I will follow your advice and I will be in a 30 days challenge from tomorrow.

Thank you,

From Sahra

Hi everyone,
Sometimes I read books, sometimes I write e-mails in English, I repeat grammar and do exercises on Raymond Murphy grammar books, recentrly I passed English preparation for the Toefl course. Rarely I watch films in Engliush or watch news on BBC and CNN. I work in tourism and speak with tour operators by mail and by ICQ etc.

For me, the best way to learn English is through conversation. There times when i find lost of difficulties to
memorize vocabularies. Are there any best ideas to learn English? I do need some vocabularies to improve my English.
