Today, many people are too busy to spend enough time with their family. What are the causes of this phenomenon and what problems has it brought to families and society as a whole? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this day and age/AT THE PRESENT TIME, the human society is progressing rapidly on various fronts. Many modern technologies were invented by human BEINGS such as cars, computers and THE Internet, and the efficiency in business transactions and production has been greatly enhanced. ALTHOUGH, advances in technology HELP US to DO THINGS MORE QUICKLY THAN before/NORMAL, people DO NOT FIND enough time TO SPEND with their familIES. In this essay, I would like to analyze some possible causes of this phenomenon and itS influence ON families and society.
It is evident that the causes of this phenomenon are diverse. DESPITE THE FACT THAT advancES in technology CAN improve the efficiency of production, THEY CAN cause people to do more things at the same time. This is especially true when we consider the fact that the global financial/ECONOMIC crisis in recent years has led many people to HAVE THE fear OF losing their jobS, and the significant INCREASE IN cost of livING needs/REQUIRES people to work harder than before. Furthermore, employees WHO ARE working for multinationAL companies may be scattered AROUND THE world/GLOBE. For example, my friend often holds a meeting at midnight with his colleague who stays in THE U.S. and he still needs to work at daytime.?
In my opinion, the impact of this phenomenon on families and society is profound. People do not have enough time to spend with their familIES, especially with their children. They may spend much time in front of THE TV or computers PLAYING games. AS WE KNOW, WATCHING A VIOLENT SCENE/FILM and pornography may seriously influence children’s growth without parents’ guidance. FurtherMORE, the increasingly over-speed/FAST-PACED lifestyle will engender a higher incidence of ailments. More instances OF sudden death at workplace are BEING reported IN THE media and (we must make reflection.)????
To put it in a nutshell, I INSIST ON saying that people should spend more time with their familIES because /THE FAMILY UNIT IS/ the cornerstone of society. This is no longer a problem for individual families, but for society as a whole.?
Hello Garfield, I tried to improve your essay. I hope you don't mind. Good Luck!
