Plants can provide food, shelter, clothing, or medicine. What is one kind of plant that is important to you or to the people in your country? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice
There are lots of plants in my country. These plants vary in their importance. In spite of the dearth of agricultural food, we are capable of importing food from other countries. In my homeland, and among a variety of plants we annually import, we definitely prefer rice as the most significant plant for three reasons: /BECAUSE, AS, SINCE .... BRIEF LIST OF REASONS
First of all, we consider rice as a traditional food. In the first years of my childhood, I was able to see how important rice was. Any party must contain rice, which is usually served with meat. Therefore, we try to have it every day, at least in one meal, whether it is for lunch or for dinner.
There, chefs have been inventing new recipes. That resulted in more and more attachment with rice. For instance, people cook rice and serve it with meat of fish, lamb , or camel. This diversity got MADE the Saudi kitchen to be known/FAMOUS for delicious rice dishes. This is why rice is the most important plant in my country.
Also, our ancestors went outside the land searching for cheap food because of the drought. In fact, the lack of forests , and weakness of agriculture have adjusted peoples’ habits in Saudi Arabia. Regarding geographical studies, 95% of the country is dry desert, that is the reason of a lack of choices. Our ancestors had to import something to eat, and absolutely, rice was the cheapest food they can buy from other countries such as India.
All in all, I believe that no one in my country eats rice less than three times weekly. Rice has become a part of the traditions and the legacy of the country. And, we have found new ways to cook rice. Hence, rice will always be a staple of Saudi Arabian food . The conditions of the land made people traveling around looking for food.
