The modern generation of people is the witness of a rebirth of old traditions, and the growth of popularity of bicycles is a remarkable fact. This ecological kind of transport provides people with many opportunities and benefits. It is important to outline that in my opinion, there are very positive dynamics, which are connected with a fact that people are replacing a car with a bicycle, and society should support it.
Firstly, the most significant fact is that bicycles do not pollute the environment, and this transport is not a source of notorious emissions, such as lead or poisonous gases. In fact, people realise the problems of our planet, and they choose environmentally-friendly types of transport. For instance, supporting ecological initiatives in European cities people are choosing bicycles.
Secondly, big cities of the world are notorious for the traffic problems. This issue is connected with the vast number of cars. At the same time, the local authorities of these cities are concerned by this problem, and there are attempting to resolve this problem. One of the most popular solutions to this problem is to reduce the number of cars in the center of the cities and to replace them with bicycles. For example, in London, many people prefer to ride a bicycle instead of cars, and it makes streets more accessible for other kinds of transport.
Thirdly, this type of transport has become a part of people’s lifestyle and to ride a bicycle is now very modern. There are several reasons, which have influenced the people’s habits. For instance, traveling by bicycle you avoid paying any taxes. Moreover, bicycles cost significantly less than the cheapest car. As a result, many students prefer to buy a bicycle and to travel to university by it.
