I finished this one in 30 mins, so hurry in order to be qualified in TOEFL writing test, can anyone give a general mark for me? more advice? I will appreciate a lot! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: People holding different views cannot achieve success as a team.
Is it true that every member in the team should have the same opinion in order to achieve success? From my point of view, things often do not go such absolutely. Actually, in most of the time, people holding different views may have merits to succeed. (1. ACCORDING TO OUR COACH KITOS, YOU SHOULDN'T START YOUR ESSAY FROM INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE 2. YOU SHOULD HAVE BRIEFLY MENTIONED MERITS HERE, THEN EXPLAIN THEM IN OTHER PARAGRAPHS)
As we all know, it is almost not practical to require that everyone in a team to have the same view, because everyone is a different individual. Each individual must have his or her own personality and ideas due to their different backgrounds, even though people are facing one same issue NOT CLEAR. For example, supposed that there is a discussing team talking about the equality between the man and woman. Under this circumstance, there is no doubt that the men and women members in the team may have the different opinions, perhaps both of them are eager to express their self-protection. Perhaps(,) men always have the views that women should spend more time and energy on family, such as doing the house work or taking care of the children. At the same time, women often complain about men’s overlooking the family responsibilitIES, and then the debate comes. However, even though the members in OF THE team have the different views, in order to reach the final, they must try their best to find out a balance----the most important point. Back to the model of the discussing team, after the team members debated enough, they will list the key words from the both sides so as to have the conclusion--to succeed. PAY ATTENTION TO TENSES!
Moreover, sometimes different views in a team are needed to make progress or breakthrough. If all of the members in the team have the same opinion without any doubt, the final may be decided in a short time. However, the team may loss LOSE some brilliant ideas, which may lighten the whole plan. This can often been seen in some scientific research areas. For instance, I joined in a research group in my school lab several months ago to finish an experimental task from[/u?]. The members in OF my team [u]differentiate /DIFFER FROM EACH OTHER a lot, so we usually have different backgrounds and opinions. Yet I did not hesitate to express my different ideas in this team, I know gathering different people’s ideaS is good/BENEFICIAL for a team work. Sometimes, my views might be seemed too simple, but sometimes I was appreciated pretty talented, who can contribute to the team rather than one always say ‘yes’ without true thinking. Thanks to all the team members’ innovation, our team succeeded to finish our tasks finally. Though we always have HAD different views in the process, we tried to gather the merits from all the people; perhaps that is the true secret for our team’s success.
In a word, a team always holding the same view is not necessarily to be successful (HAVING THE SAME OPINION/ATITUDE TO THE ISSUE IS NOT A GARUANTEE OF SUCCESSFUL TEAM WORK); indeed, we can learn a lot from the different views, as long as the team has a right aim.
ICASI, YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR INTRODUCTION AND REDUCE THE SIZE OF YOUR 2ND AND 3RD PARAGRAPHS, ADD ONE MORE PARAGRAPH- REASON, IMPROVE YOUR CONCLUSION. DON'T FORGEY TO PAY ATTENTION TO GRAMMAR! BESIDES, READ OTHER STUDENTS'S ESSAYS AND TIPS ABOUT ESSAY WRITING. GOOD LUCK.
