Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. Next month it will be 5 years since we visited Hong Kong.

2. Whenever there is some issue that can make liable, she tries to play ignorant.

3. He is sworn to secrecy about the incident.

Thanks,

MG.

The 1st and 3rd are fine.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say in sentence 2.
Possibly:
Whenever there is some issue for which she is liable, she tries to play innocent. ???

Maybe "she plays dumb"? (she pretends she's ignorant)

Good thinking, Tort. That'd probably why 'ignorant' was (incorrectly) used!
