For those who think having knowledge is only key to success might say that television should be used for educational purposes rather than entertainment. However, I disagree with the statement because people can relieve stress by watching entertainment show on TV, also, they can have something to talk about with other people, and people can improve their creativity.

To begin with, if people watch entertainment show on TV, people can soothe their stress. Entertainment gives laugher and when people laugh they can calm down and get relax. And people can forget about the problems they have while they are watching entertainment show on TV. For example, after I receive bad grade on my English course in high school unexpectedly, I got stress and depressed. So, I just watch comedy drama on TV called 'Friends'. While I was watching it, I laugh so hard that I even forgot why I was so depressed and had stress. After watching show on television, I could refresh and recharge my brain.

In addition, Watching entertainment show on TV provides people a something to talk with other people. World is continuously becoming egoistic, and people only think about themselves, and they avoid confronting other people if nothing is directly related to them. So, there is not much conversation when people are in same room. But talking about entertainment show they watch on TV is subject they can talk easily without making anybody uncomfortable. For example, in the resting area at my work, there is usually silence; no one talk. But when someone starts to talk about comedy show called 'Infinite Challenge' in the resting area, every one get in to the conversation excitingly and the atmosphere of the resting area becomes brighter.

Finally, if people watch entertainment on TV, people can develop their creativity. That is because entertainment shows broadcasting on TV are usually unrealistic, and cannot happen easily in reality. While people watch these entertainment shows, they imagine what will happen when they are in situation in entertainment shows, and imagining actually make people more creative. According to experiment conducted by scientist in Seoul University in South Korea, people who watched entertainment show before the experiment were more creative to solve given problems than those who did not watch any entertainment before the experiment.

To sum up, because entertainment show can make people to relieve stress, and gives something to talk, and help people to develop creativity, television should be used for educational purposes rather than entertainment.
