Hello,

Half breed and Mongrel.

Do they carry the same meaning? If you don't mind I want them both in phrases. Each word it's own sentense.

Half-breed: a mix of two different races/breeds. It is considered rather impolite to use this term of humans. It is more polite to describe someone as being 'of mixed race'.

Mongrel - the result of interbreeding several times, so a mix of more than two different races/breeds. It is considered very impolite to use this term of humans and it is most often used of dogs.

Ligers and tigons are examples of half-breeds. Ligers are crossbreeds between a male lion while tigons are crossbreds between a male tiger and a female lion.

We were going to buy a a pedigree dog like a labrador, but we fell in love with the cute little mongrel staring at us from one of the cells in the animal shelter.

Beee,

I really don't know how to thank you? 'Thank you' won't be enough.
