Hi all, I'm Hung and I'am a new one. Based on my plan, I will take a TOEFL iBT test this year. So far, I has exerted myself on preparing skills to get high score in the test. Thus, I see that this forum is not only very useful for me but also for all other TOEFL iBT candidates. I have just written an essay for the topic: "Some people like to do only what they do well. Others prefer to try new things and take risks. Which do you prefer? Give specific reasons and details to support your choice?" I posted here and hope that you can take a look at and evaluate my writing. Here it is: "People have different ideas in doing some thing. Some people like to do only what they do well. It is preferable for me to try new things and take risks. For one thing, doing new things and taking risks give me useful experiences. Generally, doing only what we do well with every ready-made steps means there are a few troubles to face. On the other hand, either success or failure, even when we can not achieve the expected result, we would learn precious experiences which are very helpful in our life. In addition, I can increase my skills, especially for creativity. In fact, while doing the exam last semester, I discovered that my ability of thinking out of the box has growth up when I faced the completely straight questions. In the conclusion, doing new things and taking risks has not only helped me gain useful experiences, but also increasing my personal skills." Regards.
