Rapid advances are being made in medical treatment of different kinds. Many people think governments should provide these treatments free for their citizens. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this point of view?
The issue of free medical service is very complicated because it consists of two aspects - the problems which are connected with medical treatment itself and political PR. The problem is that accessible medical service matches very well with humanity. However, in practice it is very difficult to provide society with free and efficient medicine because of the cost of new medical equipment. It is important to outline that from my point of view, this problem needs a balance between an appropriate access to the medical treatment and importance to organise financial sources effectively. Firstly, it is well-known that medical service has become expensive and as a result, many people are not able to afford it. This fact leads to strained discussion between interested parties. It is irrefutable that to establish free medical service is a very characteristic act for humanity. However, some political parties use this attractive idea in their political interests, and at the same time, they overlook the reality and essential facts such as the amount of annual expenditure on medical service. Secondly, the modern medicine is outstanding structure, which occupies leading positions in the present scientific world. However, even the most effective organisation needs sufficient financial aid. As a result, there appear two very popular and pole approach to the problem. The first one is to support medical service totally using state budget and the alternative initiative to medicine paid for everyone. Fortunately, leading specialists invented many alternative ways, which can maintain the medical service. Thirdly, some very competitive sources of funding for the medical service such as medical insurance attracts more and more attention of different countries around the world. The gist of this policy is that each person pay for medical service small amount of money every year, and when the person becomes ill he will be able to use the medical service freely. In fact, this idea includes two the most important aspects for society and medical service - equal access to the medical treatment and financial sources for maintaining medical service. In conclusion, it is vital to outline the key points of the present essay. Medical service provokes very serious discussion in society. Many people think that medical service should be free, however, we cannot avoid reality and financial support for hospitals is vital. At the same time, there are ways how to reach a compromise between two-pole position, and from my point of view, it can be insurance. I believe that this approach to the problem is able to breathe new life into the modern medical service. _________ Thank you very much in advance!
