Test No. errors/inter-8 "Tenses", question 6

I have been lived in the same town all my life and I do not want to move to another one.

(a) have been lived
(b) all
(c) move
(d) one

Test No. errors/inter-8 "Tenses", answer 6

I have lived in the same town all my life and I do not want to move to another one.

Correct entry: have lived
The error was: (a) have been lived

You have found the error but your entry is incorrect.
I have been living in the same town all my life and I do not want to move to another one.

Have lived vs have been living #2 (permalink) Wed Oct 06, 2004 21:15 pm   Have lived vs have been living

Hi Igor,

It's probably OK to use the Present Perfect Progressive in the sentence you are referring to although 'I have lived' is more often used than 'I have been living' because using the progressive form stresses the intensity of an activity. For example: 'I have been working since 9 in the morning non stop'.
