Is it more important to be able to work with a group of people on a team or to work independently? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.

Being successful in 21th century is a dream for everybody. We are members of different clubs, we go to school and try to keep ourselves thinking in order to develop certain qualities. Although we might not realize it when we are young, all of this activities form us as a person and help us become a reliable and a social individual.
To begin with, it is of great importance that we are capable of taking care of ourselves. The older we get, the more difficulties we will face, and sometimes we will have to figure them out by ourselves. I believe that being able to satisfy our own needs is a quality that everybody who wants to be successful must obtain. When we are teenagers our parents give us little responsibilities such as keeping our room tidy and throw away the garbage, but later on this becomes a habit and another responsibilities come. This is a very simple example of being able to work independently- to be capable of taking decisions and also be a reliable person.
In addition, nowadays there are a lot of companies which work with a lot of people, so in order to fit in the job market we must be able to communicate with different people. In high school we are given group projects and later on in our lives we will be given work projects in our job. When we go to different sport clubs we meet a lot of people which enhances our sociability. A lot of psychological statistics show that talkative people tend to be more successful in their careers.
In addition, I believe that a person must be able to work independently, but should also feel comfortable working with people. Even though leaders are alone on the top, to get there, they need to go through a lot of stages which mean that they have to deal with a variety of people. Being able to communicate and to convince people in our ideas is a very important quality, which starts developing when we are too young to realize it. In order to obtain it, it is very important to go to different places and meet a lot of people when we are young, so we feel comfortable and confident when we communicate.
To sum up, being independent is a quality which we need not only in the professional aspect of our life, but also the private one. When we are able to handle situations by ourselves people accept us as organized and reliable person. When working in team we also enhance certain confidence and make connections with people, which is also very important quality in order to be a good leader but also a good friend and neighbor.
