Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Choosing where to live seems it’s not difficult for me, I’ve been living in a city since I was born. I enjoy to live in a big city, if I were given another chance to reconsider, I would still favor to live in a big city.

First of all, the biggest merits of living in a big city is that people are accessible to all kinds of transportation vehicles. It’s convenient to go anywhere. Along with the increasingly development of economy and technology, the exchange of cities has become more frequent, advanced means of transportation make people travel between cites possible. Whereas it’s less convenient in a small town, since the limitation of building road and lacking of transportation vehicles.

Moreover, there’re more job opportunities readily available in big cities than in a small town. Prestigious corporations and companies would rather establish divisions in a big city which posses a rosy maker and a majority of target consumers, to some extend, it would create more opportunities to work and provide more decent salaries for employees. This is one of the reasons that why millions of thousands of people leave one's native place to struggle for suitable work s in a big city every year.

Furthermore, not merely there are more job positions in big cities, the qualities of lives are much higher as well. There are more commodities and services in city markets; there are more public utilities available in big cities; there are even much more television channels in big cities. My parents moved to the city before I was born, they wanted me to receive an well education in the future as most families who move from a small town to a big city. For them, children’s education is always put in the first place, and only a big city could provide such a good quality of education.

However, living in a small town also has some advantages. People who live in a small town often have a much comfortable life style. They tend to experience less working stress, enjoying lower price of daily necessities. Instead of suffering loneliness which is prevalent in big cities, children might grow up more healthily because of harmonious relationship among residents in small town. In addition to that, they seems to have more friends readily available to chat or entertain with on account of having more leisure time.

Although I am longing for the cozy atmosphere and relationship among neighbors and friends which almost only exist in big cities, I would like to live in a big city since I enjoy the convenient, higher quality of living condition and a decent pay.
