Do you prefer learning by yourself to learning with a teacher?
I prefer to learn with a teacher.
First, learning with a teacher in my opinion is more helpful with the subject that I want to study, because the teacher will give me more exercises to practice in it. In addition, I will learn more skills from a person who have more knowledge and experience on the subject that I want to study it. I will gain more knowledge by more reading, research about the subject and solving some problems with my teacher who has a background about the subject.
Second, studying with a teacher will let me focus on the subject by being more carful on studying constantly. In order to I will study hard and do the best that I can, because I know that my teacher is going to asses my work.
According to what I have said, in my third year in high school; I wanted to gain high marks in Mathematics. I went to a home teacher, so I can practice with her and solve more exercises than the one that I had it in my actual school. By this way I can develop my skills in Mathematics and I can gain more knowledge from a person who had more experience in mathematics. My teacher was really a good teacher, she made me practice well by giving me old exams, and these exams weren’t easy at all. In the beginning I thought this will be tough for me but day after day I felt good, she really was encouraging me and gave me hope to reach my goal. In the end of the semester I was the only one in the entire class who had full mark. This was amazing!
In conclusion, studying with a teacher will help you improve your skills in a certain subject. While learning will be more fun, easier and knowledge will long lasting.

hello for everyone!

It is very nice to discover this forum. I want to ask you to help me with my English skills. It is really not funny story. I'm from Ukraine and I've pass an exam and I'm going to study in London and suddenly I figured out that I must pass the TOEFL Exam. Could I post some essays here. Will somebody check it and gives me some advises? I'll be very appreciate. And tell me please, could I improve my speaking skills somehow here? I really need help. Thank you very much.

These is something like essay..

1.Pets should be treated like family members.

There are a lot of people who have a pet. Some people want to have some kind of pets because they are lonely and other because they want to take care about somebody. We like to feel useful and necessary. However there are a lot of other reasons why people have a pet.

When we are buying a dog or a cat or some other species we should understand that it is not a toy. It is alive organism that has it own fealings, emotions and experience. Eventually it is like a little baby and you should spend a lot of time to grow it up, to nurture it and give it a chance to have a good life with you. It is so great when you come home after the hard day and you see you lovely pet thet greets you and is amazed because his owner came back. And all you trubles are going away because you understand "he loves me, he is needed in my and i am in him" and it is great feeling.

For some people or even families the pet is indivisible part of the life. They are happy with them and they realize the pet like the friend or like the real family member. And they are absolutely right in my opinion. In spit of all troubles that you "friend" will bring you for sure it is great to have a friend that are always with you. And he will never betray you and will be always grateful for all.

However people buy pets for different reasons but it is the one that consolidate all of us - we love them. It is precisely on of the members of family and it is the one who gives us the happiness in our life.

2. The question about computer's possibility to think is not new. Alan Turing, British mathematician proposed an experiment to answer this question in 1950 and it is still used. In the experiment people had to interact with something in another room through the computer terminal. They didn't know whether they speak with a person or machine. After the interaction they had to say who was on the other side - person or computer. If they could not have said confident or they had made a mistake computer passed the test. However, so far, no one computer could pass the test.

However according to the philosopher John Seavel some computers can be equipped by the technology that can allow to give correct answers. But it is only program behavior rather than thought. Computer doesn't understand what he is doing and it would be acting intelligent without being intelligent. So far we can give the accurate answer - computer can not think.

One of the famous and impotent characters in the contemporary history of the United States is ex-president Jourge Bush. He is the one who had a big influenc maybe all over the world. One of the famous things he had done - he started the war against the terrorism after the events in 2001 year in New York, when the twin skyscrapers where destroyed by the terrorists.

He started the war because he wanted to caught the main individual - Sadam Hosein. He sought if he will do it other terrorists won't have much power. There was a war in Irak and the US government was sure that they are doing everything right. A lot of countries were involved into this stuff. But there were a lot of victims from civilians. And it seems to be the war for authority in Irak where are a lot of useful resources. However the war is ended but American army still are in Irak.

Jorge Bush started the new way in the US development and it is about battle against the terrorism and it spread out all over the world. The US government spends a lot of money every year for this stuff. But were all of this steps successful? The US spend a lot of money but the attacks still occur at the different places. Maybe he should have spent this money to cope with poorness and other things in the US? However the US nation didn't think that his steps were great and they didn't select him on the next election. And he had to go.

However he started a new way in history - the war against the terrorism. And who knows, maybe if he hadn't done it we now might have much more victims of terrorists. So he was the important person in the United States and in the world history.

Some of ideas are really stupid and I know it. But sometimes there are so uncomfortable themes..
