Japan's most powerful earthquake since records began has struck the north-east coast, triggering a massive tsunami.

just want to say God bless them all - my heart goes out to all who have lost there lives in this terrible disaster that comes with no warning.

Actually, there was plenty of warning, science has made great strides in the direction of predicting earthquakes and tsunamis.

I hope Mr Micawber and his family are OK.

My sympathies to everyone in Japan who has been affected by this gigantic earthquake and tsunami. Though early warnings may help, I don't think a warning can truly prepare people for what has happened in Japan.

Absolutely.

Sympathies to any of our members who are affected in any way by this disaster. (And I'd also like to second Esl_expert's special mention of Mister Micawber.)

I've just learned that it's the second largest earthquake in history, it was so devastating that the tsunami resulting from it reached the coastal beach in California, and five people were washed away into the ocean and their fate remains unknown. :((

I hope Mr Micawber is unscathed too.

Is there any way to make sure that Mister Micawber and his family are OK?

Hi Tom,

MM turned up briefly elsewhere online, and he is OK. But it definitely sounds like he'll have an interesting story to tell.

Let us pray for all those who affected by Earthquke &Tsunami in Japan
tomorrow at 7.a.m. in our place itself. Joined/Group prayers will be more
effective than individual prayer.

Instead of talking about what was happend, we can pray for them to get
speedy recovery from this diaster.

Thank you
