Could someone help me check my essay :)
Topic: Rich countries often give financial aid to poor countries, but it does not solve poverty, so rich countries should give other types of help to poor countries rather than the financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Currently, there are some countries, such as the US, usually give financial aid to other developing countries. Some people believe that it will change their impoverished situations because capital can improve the evolution. However, as far as I am concerned, I argue against this idea, and I think the developed countries should give some other types of help to the poor countries.
To begin with, it is true that science and technology are the primary productive forces. Thus, rich countries ought to provide poor countries some technical assistance. For example, cultivating the overseas students of impoverished countries and sending some specialists to poor areas to help them develop high technology. Every country will be able to grow rapidly with the high-tech.
In addition, investment has ability to play an important role in development. For the developed countries, investing capital and establishing factories in poor countries are wise activities, which can bring both sides large profits. Meanwhile, it is essential in promoting booming market, and it provides a good many jobs to the populations who have no income. As a result, the poor countries will be richer gradually with the improvement of people’s living standards.
Finally, agricultural products are also utterly necessary to the developing countries, because they can spend more capital and more energy on developing industry if they have sufficient food. Therefore, poor countries need to get more agricultural aid from rich countries.
To conclude, financial aid is not the best way to help poor countries. From my own perspective, the developed countries ought to assist the impoverished countries through other approaches.
