Marriage is a very important event in our life. It is a relationship based not only on attraction and love – it is based on friendship, trust, respect and thrill. After some years pass most of the feelings might just develop into a habit. For example, the passionate good morning kiss might turn into usual wake up signal. In order to avoid this, I believe it is better to marry with somebody who has a different character.
To begin with, when living with somebody we share not only our joy but also our anger with them. In order to maintain a good relationship, each person must be able to provoke laugh and happiness in the other. Little unexpected surprises might be really hard to happen if we can predict the intentions and behavior of our beloved. On the other hand, because of the different view on issues, a lot of controversies might come up. Difference in characters might cause the one to compromise and the other person to change. But that is what love is. You choose the person you love because you love their laugh and you can handle their grumpy face.
Moreover, when people are going to spend their life together they are going to face a lot of problems. Different suggestions when solving problems are really helpful, because you can compare two things and decide which one will work better for you. If two persons think the same way they will most likely have the same idea for dealing with an issue. However, I believe that marrying a person who differs from ourselves we widen our horizons by seeing things from different perspective.
To sum up, marriage is a relationship between two people who have the same goal- to have a happy family and a nice home. In order to achieve this goal they have to pass through a lot of difficult situations. Sometimes people fail and when they fail it is very important that they have somebody who will offer support and a different opinion. Having a relationship with somebody who has different character gives us a different point of view on issues. And I believe that the best way to find which is better for us is to try a variety of options in order to be able to make comparisons and be certain why something is the best thing to do.
