Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A zoo has no useful purpose.

Because of the educational and excursion purposes, animal conservation and attendance about them I do not agree with the statement that zoos are useless.

Zoos are the best places to spend a weekend with family. Having fun there, looking at the animals, birds and fish is the best experience for children. There are also great majorities of group and individual excursion tours around the zoo.

Speaking about the educational purpose, I would like to mention that zoo is an essential place for practicing biology, ecology and zoology. Like we all know the understanding of a subject goes better during practice. It is useful for students to observe wild animals for their future researches. There are also a lot of floras from different countries. And visitors can admire beautiful flowers and trees all around the year.

Moreover, wild animals are protected from hunters and rare animals can breed. Workers and veterinaries keep eyes on their health and diet.

However, there are not all zoos have enough place and money to build surroundings imitating the real zones where animals come from. That is why giraffes, lions, monkeys and other animals have to live in the narrow cages. They can not run, jump and hunt. Birds are not able to fly high and far. I strongly believe that government should give more money for development and expansion of the zoos.
