Hi Gella,

You need the simple present here because the sentence describes an action that happens on a regular basis (often). You can use the present progrossive to talk about an action that is happening right now:

Why are you saying you don't like sports?

I didn't quite get that..Can you please explain me why he couldn't say there ( you always are saying)..
