I've been taking this typing course which I get from the Internet since last week.
I've improved my typing skills from 35wpm to 50 wpm. And I'm taking it seriously... lols..
I want to improve more, and more, and more.. haha.. =)

Hi Torsten and everybody.

I think I know to type really fast. Yet, I don't take part actively on this forum because I don't know all the english grammar rules. I can read and understand everything I am reading but when I have to write or speak I just don't get to join and remember all I have learned about english language. I have learned english all by myself and now this forum is my main resource for improving my english. I am really giving my best here, doing all exercises, making research, downloading the mp3's and listening them in my mp4 device. I really love english and I wish to be fluent. I hope I can have your support and friendship in this challenge of teaching english for somebody that will sometimes type stupid things, I mean, with nosense, killing all the grammar rules and so on.

As for me, I had never learned to type. My typing score became from chatting. But my score depends on languages which I'm writing on. Easier, for me, is typing in Cyrillic, I even don't look on the keyboard, but if in Latin - than have some problems with score.

I've read your supposition "why on forums most users would only read messages..." and I'm completely agree with your point of view that probably typing takes more time than speaking.
It's true that the most people prefer to speak than to write, because the first one is easier. But on forums the speaking is present by writing and this is the right way to communicate with someone else here.

That's True I can speak english better than writing it I think I never took the time to practice it becuse there's so many people that speak spanish and are not interested in learning english I used to work in a fast food place here in co where a lot of spanish speaking people used to come in and since they realized that I have an accent they would ask me if I speak spanish and then so they wouldn't feel bad I would talk to them in spanish most of my friends are mexicans and most of them they don't care about learning english I would like to know the reason of that I ask them they usually say is just hard what is your opinion about it

I don't know the speed of my typing, i know that am trying to type with ten fingers and it is very hard for me, actually I am typing with two or four fingers quicker than with my ten fingers, but i am learning to type with ten fingers. Actually i went to typing course for a week and they helped me to learn to type quicker!

Hello everyone!
i'm not very good at typing. sometimes it takes me a lot of time especially when I'm tired. I'm a new member here. But I agree with mr Torsten that it's important to be able to discuss different topics, of caurse in a case , if you want to speak any foreign language fluently. I don't like typing in English and there is one reason I make spelling mistakes. sometimes I forget how to type a word correctly and I need to write it down before typing it((( I speak a lot and write a little! I was trying to find a pen-friend in different chat-rooms! But this course and site are great!!!!!!!!!! I can not only communicate but also I can improve all my English abilities including listening and Grammar
