my name is ubah I'm a new student really I like how u suggesting the ideas that's cool and I'm those who interesting to leaning if it's writing ,reading and speaking very sides to be well.

I live in the united state and I never been in school I live with in tree yrs when i was in my country I used to go school, I thing I'm better beginner person beacuse I can ready very well and I can understanding 75% all the time when i try do writing i made a mistake but more mistake makes right the finally so please don't surprize what i have done i hope u guys 'll be patients to me with much thanks

Hello, everybody.
About 4 years ago i learned how to type using all 10 fingers and without looking at the keyboard. Here in Russia we call it "blind method". I found some information about it on the internet and bought a computer program (software) that taught me how to do that. I'm sure there are some free courses on the internet though. So, it took me about a week to learn how to type using that method and let's say another month to practice it. And, of course, i still practice it each time I type something. We don't count words here in Russia to say how fast we type (words may have different numbers of letters, don't they? ;)) We count symbols, I mean each key you hit counts. So, now I can type about 400 symbols per minute if I type in Russian. And about 350 s/m if I type in English. Which is average, but still, fast enough.

Here is a very good computer program that it taught me typing without looking to the keyboards. I think, it will be very helpful not only you but your children or the children around you as well.
My hand writing is very bad, so I wanted to learn typing with ten fingers. I looked for a course for it. At that time I was a student at Gazi Antep University, one of my classmates gave me the earlier version of this program to increase my enthusiasm. So it was very helpful for me to learn typing well. Hence, I am a good typer. By the way, I quitted the lessons middle of the course, so I cannot use numbers well. I advise you that, please complete all the lessons that it required.
The second thing: I am also a forum reader. I am not writing because I cannot explain what I feel, what I want to explain because of my low level English. For this reason, I am confining myself to read the entries only :(

By the way, my writing speed is about 40-50 wpm and 210-250 character/min. You can measure your speed as a word per minute and character per minute by using this:

I can't type very fast but I think it's OK because sometimes I forget how to write words.
I began to learn to type during my first year in college. At that time I was unsastified with the computer because staring at the screen and typing on the keyboard was a demanding for me. Even sitting in a computer lab for half an hour would make me dizzy. Hardly could I say that I fell in love with this hi-tech product. I guess there was much radiation with that old-fashion monitor (CRT). With the keyboard I was wondering why the designer did not arrange the keys in alphabetic order, which maybe can save us much time to remeber.
I didnot practise a lot of typing in college because the school work did not involve too much computer. It was not until I entered graduate school and bought a compuer that I typed a lot since the professors asked typed papers should be turned in.
Now I have a laptop and my typing is much faster than before and I am improving.

hi Julieta! I think you have a point there. :). As I've never took a typing course, I think the best for me will be to exercise my self in order to improve my typing. I really want to write faster without looking the keyboard. Thx
