hmm.. typing! Sometimes I use to think typists are people born with the instinct. Really
finding it difficult giving in to the fact that typing could be learned - based on my personal
experience. However, as demands (on my response time) increase to give feedback,
there seem to be no hiding place but to improve in the art spontaneously.

Remember the cliche that says "practice makes perfect?" Because
the nature of my job requires that I sometimes prepare reports, retrieve
information and deliver to higher authorities (within a specific period), I was compelled to
add some value to my typing speed.

There seem to be no "hard and fast" method for me than to practice and improve.
Within a short time of absence from typing works, my speed begins to wear out. "Pathetic",
isn't it? Well, as an Engineer, I have been able to cope with delivering my official
responsibilities. Unlike secretaries and Personal Assistants, I don't feel the kind
of bottle-neck pressure (especially at peak periods) as they do.

The desire to grow in my profession, and the need to acquire what it takes
to manage an international position craves in me the desire to improve my typing speed.

Is there any other way I can transform my typing speed? Please your advice is much
appreciated.

In my opinion, typing or writing is very important to an English learner. You can find some mistakes from the things you wrote down. These mistakes will hidden if you just speak them out. You could speak out a word correctly. It doesn't mean you can write it down correctly, especially for English learner. The more words you type, the fewer spelling mistakes you will make.

Actually, i can type 60 words per minute, because long time back, i started this thing. In my job and in during my study whether bachelor or master, i had to type a lot, so it was necessary for me to type fast and correct. I've learned how to type before 13 years back, as well as i can type Arabic, English, and French. It was very difficult to me to type fast and correct, it has taken long time to be faster, I hope all of you to be that one.

I think writing is as necessary as speaking.when you write something(type) you have chance to correct the sentences and by time we improve and that fluency comes in speaking by time.so rather only try to speak English I would suggest to write something on daily basis.

Hello,

I´m from Colombia, and our mean language is Spanish. I have been studying English since I was a kid, but is really difficult for me. I worked for an American company, and I should speak very well English, due some of my collegues only speak english. this is the reason I start to study using this webpage. that by the way is a very good course.
How can I know that all the things that I have been writing here, have been written well? how can I review and fix my mistakes?
regards,
Martha
