Which sentence of past tense is correct from the above two

Either of them can be considered correct. The tense to use would depend on the wider context.

Hi Vijay84,

Clearly by using 'always' you indicate that giving these presents was a repeated practice. When you use the past simple here 'sent', you simply indicate that this was a fact. Using 'would' gives a slightly different sense, which could be perhaps sentimental or nostalgic. You could be saying this in a slightly reflective way indicating that you remember her doing that very well.
