Oh, come one - you shouldn't give up yet.

Only 2 of your suggestions are incorrect (15k 19i)
These are correct
2o 4p 6a 18t 17l 13j 11e 12q 16d 9n 3g 10h which means you can remove them from your lists.
You now have less to sort. Only eight more!

1) proportion
5) collusion
7) purchase
8) exert
14) undertaking
15) empower
19) substantially
20) scale

b) entitle
c) things which has been bought
f) give as a favour or right
i) important piece of work
k) secret agreement for dishonest purposes
m) part of a total
r) considerably
s) range

Don't forget, a dictionary is your friend.

Oh, come one, DE. That's a little better but please don't expect us to do your homework for you.

This time around you got 7c right (though there is a mistake in number 7. It should read: purchases: things which have been bought.)

All the definitions I've provided below come courtesy of onelook.com. - the link I gave you earlier. They should help you complete most of the missing parts of this puzzle. (In some cases, more obvious definitions are available) - I'm surprised you didn't look for yourself.

1) proportion - a quantity of something that is a part or share of the whole
5) collusion - agreement on a secret plot
14) undertaking - any piece of work that is attempted
19) substantially - to a great or considerable extent
20) scale - a range of measurements in a particular system

i) important piece of work
k) secret agreement for dishonest purposes
m) part of a total
r) considerably
s) range

This will leave you with the only complicated sets of pairings. I think possibly the statements and answers have become confused, because 15 b and f all seem to go together, while 'exert', though linked to those, is slightly different.
