Reading is the best answer for this question.
You can try a theasaurus, that is a kind of sofisticated word dictionary as well.
Try new sites, this one is very good, and you always have another ones. Try to read news, and also listen to them, or watch movies.
www.voanews.com. is one very good, Cnn, and some other.

For enriching our vocabulary, I often read many articles (in English) from various sites. I try to understand the content, if I found any words that I did not know the meaning, then I got search in Yahoo.answers. Afterwards, for memorize it, I wrote any articles, or just wrote update status or anything else, using those new words. I think the way I take, can be an effective tip for enriching our vocabulary. Knowing the meaning of a word is not enough, we need to know how it is implemented in a whole phrase...
